Who is Josephine Sheppard?

Josephine Sheppard is the Founder and Owner of Therapies by Josephine (formerly Integrative Therapies & Consulting), a practice expanding to provide online and in-person services, products, and programs. She champions an integrative lifestyle that emphasizes the conscious incorporation of spirituality, mental, physical, and emotional health and wellness as continual practices rather than intermittent solutions to challenges.

With a robust background in the health and wellness sector, services, hospitality, and nursing, Josephine possesses numerous certifications, including those in Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Trauma-informed Coach, and Reiki Master-Teacher, alongside a Diploma in Fitness and Nutrition, Natural Health Consulting, and a Doctorate in Religious Counseling. See here, for the list of training, certifications, education, and memberships.

Josephine is committed to practices such as introspection, mindfulness, and meditation, and she has experienced three near-death experiences along with several spiritually transformative life events. Following a Shamanic path, she employs contemporary shamanism principles and is a Society for Shamanic Shamanism Without Borders member.

Since embarking on her self-employment journey in 1994, her practice has evolved into the "Live in AAWE™", which promotes daily wellbeing, and she simplified the name to Therapies by Josephine in 2024. Her culturally diverse background allows her to effectively support highly sensitive individuals, clients with disabilities, and individuals from a range of philosophical and religious backgrounds.

Her spiritual principles and practices are intricately woven into her services, reflecting her Omnist approach to various belief systems and philosophies, alongside personal and professional experiences. This includes elements inspired by her rich cultural heritage and the contemporary-style shamanism rooted in her ancestral background, which are revealed through dreams, visions, the akashic records, and shamanic journey.

Josephine's offerings, whether shamanic practices or spiritual counsel, focus on the evaluation and consented manipulation of the human energy field. Her work aims to balance, heal, and attune the client's energy field, positively influencing their overall mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

Josephine possesses a deep cultural heritage that informs her practice of contemporary shamanism, drawing parallels with Filipino and Spanish community healers. She utilizes an individualized approach to healing, incorporating various therapies such as herbal remedies, spirit guides, and energy work, alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine insights.

Her methodology aligns with traditional practices where past trauma is seen as a cause of dis-ease. Josephine honors the diverse mentors she has encountered on her journey, recognizing that her experiences are shaped by various influences rather than a traditional apprenticeship. At Therapies by Josephine, she invites individuals to explore and deepen their spiritual experiences while respecting the interconnectedness of all life.

Since 2019, Josephine has been an ordained Nondenominational Minister through the Universal Life Church (ULC) based in Seattle, Washington. Her mission as a Minister is to promote individual choice in spiritual practice, religious freedom, and the peaceful coexistence of faith traditions. Josephine believes in treating others with fairness, kindness, justice, advocating for everyone's right to practice their chosen religion or philosophy, provided it respects the rights and freedoms of others. As an ordained Minister, she is legally authorized to perform blessings, weddings, memorials, and more, enjoying the same rights clergy from other faiths. "Josephine is a gifted healer and mentor. I took the Soul-Wise sessions [now primarily considered an aspect of Shamanic Journeying and Energy Center Attunement] from her and found these sessions to be inspirational.

Josephine is a gentle guide that led me to experience my soul's essence. It was a very special moment for me when I felt the light around me and the peace it brought.

I highly recommend Josephine for spiritual guidance and look forward to taking more time with her in the future."  - Pat D.
